The Probus Club of Salisbury held their 43rd AGM at the White Hart Hotel, Salusbury, on Friday the 18th July. A good number of members were in attendance.

Apart from the official business and reports from the various committee members, the club were delighted to bestow Honorary Membership to Dick Crozier and Mike Prewer for their long and significant contributions to the club. Unfortunately, Dick could not attend, but Mike was there to receive his award from outgoing president Godfrey Ball.

The role of President was passed from Godfrey Ball to Phil Grey. Godfrey thanked the membership and committee for their support during his year in office and welcomed Phil to the role, presenting him with the chain of office, and receiving in return his ‘past presidents’ pin.

The meeting continued and committee members were re-elected unopposed.
Special thanks must be made to our current Secretary, Ernie Bohm, for the organisation and running of the AGM, in this his first full year in the role.
Following the AGM, members retired to the bar before sitting down to lunch and spending a companiable hour or so together, swopping stories, exchanging jokes and generally enjoing the fellowship that Probus facilitates.
Thanks to all who attended.
