Probus Salisbury members accompanied by wives/partners/guests enjoyed a memorable visit to the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens near Romsey on Wednesday 16 April 2025.

After a short sharp rain shower whilst we all congregated for coffee at the welcoming café near the main entrance, the sun then cast its glorious rays for the remainder of our visit. So fortunate.

Local guide Barbara treated us to a thoroughly entertaining and informative tour of the main attractions where many spectacular seasonal blooms were to be savoured.

Organiser Phil Riley forgot his tour flag but remarkably no-one got lost and the event culminated in a very convivial luncheon at the Garden Restaurant. Delicious fare, social chatter and good-hearted banter. Probus at its best!

My thanks to Phil and wife Karen for organising such a splendid outing.
This venue is virtually on our doorstep and I can thoroughly recommend a visit. The vista changes dramatically with each season.
